We start by extracting oil with a high-speed centrifuge extractor. For socks and pillows, we use a specialized industrial “wringer” press that squeezes the oil out prior to the extractor.
All harvested oil is pumped and stored in containers with your company’s name on the label.
We then use special industrial cleaning machines with a proprietary blend of petroleum “Eco-Safe” cleaning solvents.
Fun Fact:
Our company founder named the first petroleum machine “The Green Machine” in 1989 before “green” was a buzzword. Now all seven of our high-tech machines are named “Green” Machines.
After absorbents are cleaned, they are sent through a drying process that uses solvent refinery “reclaimers” that recycle any solvents and eliminate any air pollution.
Since our process is closed-looped and extremely efficient, we do not have any exhausts! We capture and reclaim any solvent vapor by condensing it back into the liquid for re-use.
Our final step utilizes a solvent refinery still that “cooks” our solvents. This mini refinery separates the petroleum solvents from the oil. With high heat and pressure, the low flashpoint solvents are vaporized into a gas. The gas is then forced over a cooling chamber that condenses it back into a clear liquid.
